Planning your trip to Bird Point

Here are the things you need to know when planning your trip to our retreat:

• boat or floatplane access only - we will arrange your transportation, notice required
• Bird Point recommends a group of at least six persons or more to reduce transport costs to and from the resort. We can accommodate groups of up to 30.
• bring sandals, hiking footwear, rain gear, sunblock, and bug repellent for evenings when necessary (the ocean breezes keep bugs down naturally)
• Pack a sleeping bag, pillow, lanterns and flashlights. No oil-burning lamps or candles please. Sleeping bags and liners are available upon request.
• Your food for the duration of your stay, along with condiments. Boat transport by water taxi is available to Porpoise Bay or Egmont for shopping at charter rates if you wish.
• Pre-plan by arranging ahead so we have plenty of lead time to help you arrange transport, kayak rentals etc. If you have special requests, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.
• Many of the amenities you require are available on site. If you are just visiting the coast and are not prepared for camping, we have almost everything you need. All buildings at Bird Point Retreat are powered with solar energies, but we ask that you not bring personal electrical products.
• Dock available if you are arriving in your own boat.
